John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has touched a multitude of people through his songs. A lot of them are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. who was born Henry J. Deutschendorf of Roswell located in the state of New Mexico,, was in Love with Colorado. He settled in Aspen. A few took the road toward Colorado after hearing Denver's popular anthems to his adopted state. I can't think of any more famous performer that embodies Colorado as well as John Denver said G. Brown Curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first to be inducted into the hall. Today he personifies the state for all people. When I travel, I always meet someone from the other part of the globe, someone from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado The first word to come that comes out of their mouths is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's biggest solo hit after appearing alongside small folk ensembles. The song was written and recorded by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the song using Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver first heard the song it was clear that the song could be one of the top hits. The song was performed on stage in Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver made a recording a few days later.
